TVT TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATION, NIGERIA
During 2019 the Department of Petroleum Resources (Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigeria) carried out the certification of remote Thermovision Tomography technology (TVT). A full range of Due Diligence procedures, as well as field pilot work in a known area of the Niger Delta and part of the Gulf of Guinea was carried on for the search for hydrocarbons using the satellite TVT technology.
The Department of Petroleum Resources (NG) has validated then the results obtained, using an in house well and seismic data.
The results showed that the different geological anomalies delineated by the TVT technology perfectly matched the outcome of wells drilled within the pilot area thus confirming that the TVT technology can be used for hydrocarbon exploration and further de risk most of our exploration prospects and leads.
